The school's alumni association, which consists of approximately 145,000 active members, stepped in to purchase a block of tickets for current students -- valued at $90 per student.
This is the first time in the school's history that its football team will play in bowl games in back-to-back seasons.
They dropped last year's Belk Bowl to Cincinnati, 48-34.
