According to voters, Kentucky is a unanimous choice for the best team in the country. It’s the Wildcats’ fifth consecutive week in the No. 1 slot.

Duke came in at second — a leap from their No. 4 ranking last week. The Blue Devils’ win over Wisconsin, the then-No. 2 team in the country, exposed a number of weaknesses for a Badgers squad that voters in previous weeks had deemed solid.

It wasn’t at all surprising that North Carolina plummeted from 12th place to 21st place after losing to Iowa at the Dean Center last Wednesday.

Oklahoma, who was dropped from the rankings last week, found its way back into the Top 25 and now sit at No. 16, which is the highest ranking for the Sooners since Blake Griffin wore their uniform.

Both Michigan and Michigan State fell out of the rankings after the Wolverines dropped a game to the independent NJIT team, while the Spartans were upset by Notre Dame.
