According to the Raleigh News & Observer’s Laura Keeley, Duke sent its bitter rival a bill totaling more than $27,000 for spray-painted damages to the stadium. The damage occurred after the Tar Heels’ nationally televised Thursday night win Nov. 20, which kept Duke out of the ACC Championship Game.

The rivalry winner traditionally spray-paints the Victory Bell trophy after the game, but it’s safe to say the Tar Heels got carried away this past year.

Keeley posted several photos of the damage on her Twitter account Friday morning, noting that $22,028.44 of the bill went toward replacing the carpet in the visitor locker room:

Although no UNC players were disciplined for the incident, the program paid for it – literally.
