After the Warriors’ record-breaking 73rd win Wednesday night, Green sent a strong message to critics who argue Golden State wouldn’t have been able to achieve this level of greatness in a different era.

Some perceived Green’s words as a shot directed at members of the legendary 72-10 Bulls team. The Warriors do-it-all forward made it clear nothing could be further from the truth.
“I have the utmost respect for the Bulls,” Green said in a video for Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted. “You could never get me to say anything negative about a former champion, that they couldn’t do what we did in what era. I wasn’t talking about them. Never will.
“So, good try, but that wasn’t what it was. Major respect for, of course, Mike (Michael Jordan) and Pip (Scottie Pippen) and all those guys that played on those teams. They started dominance, and they dominated for a long time.”
Perhaps Green was aiming at someone else?
