Why not ease the pain by making my own Salary Cap lineup for the divisional round weekend?
Here's a look at my NFL Weekly League Salary Cap roster at DraftStreet (Public League ID # 2199903); create your own roster in a Pick 'Em, Draft or Salary Cap league at DraftStreet for free or play to win cash:
QB: Peyton Manning, Broncos ($18,894). I originally crafted this team to have Tom Brady and Andrew Luck, but at the end there’s no way you can go into a Salary Cap league without the NFL’s most prolific passer.QB: Tom Brady, Patriots ($14,439). Brady has a 106.9 QB rating and 13:2 TD:INT ratio in Saturday home playoff games. It’s an annual tradition.
RB: Marshawn Lynch, Seahawks ($12,031). Lynch had just 45 rushing yards in the regular-season meeting, but he’ll be more involved this time around.
RB: LeGarrette Blount, Patriots ($8,239). Any New England back is risky, but Blount’s ability to close in the red zone (four TDs on eight carries inside the 10-yard line) is valuable.
WR: Eric Decker, Broncos ($9,615). Decker figures to get more open looks with the return of Wes Welker, who is cheaper but might be used more as a decoy against San Diego.
WR: Michael Crabtree, 49ers ($9,146). Crabtree had 13 targets, eight catches and 125 receiving yards in the wild-card round. He’s without a doubt Colin Kaepernick’s go-to guy.
TE: Greg Olsen, Panthers ($6,364). Olsen is Cam Newton’s favorite receiver, and that could lead to double-digit targets against the 49ers.
FLEX: Julian Edelman, Patriots ($8,115). Edelman had 41 targets and 29 receptions in the three games after Rob Gronkowski’s season-ending knee injury.
FLEX: Frank Gore, 49ers ($9,002). Gore has a tough matchup against Carolina, but he still comes at a value considering he’s good for 20 touches in a grind-it-out game.
D/ST: Denver Broncos ($4,136). I’m going with the cheapest defense with the best chance to win.
