Truex, who was one of the Championship 4 drivers last year at Homestead-Miami Speedway but currently sits ninth in points with only one top-five finish, was ready to take out his frustration on literally anyone.

“I just want to get out and punch somebody,” Truex said on the team radio. “Like seriously, like hard, like as hard as I can.” 

The “big one” started when Jimmie Johnson was leading the field in the outside lane and his car slowed as he attempted to accelerate. Truex rear-ended him, with Kevin Harvick pushing into his car. Johnson, who said he had transmission problems, spun into the outside wall, igniting the chaos.
