McNabb makes a strong case, but it’s important to note that two of the important players who wore the number signed off on it being un-retired.

In order to determine which player will wear the legendary number, a committee has been formed. That committee includes Little. It used to be tradition to pass down the number to someone of talent.

Since 1954 (when Brown played) only 11 players have worn the number. The last player to wear the number was Rob Konrad in 1998.
