Newsmax’s John Bachman was responding to Trump’s game at his Bedminster golf course on Thursday, which was played prior to the controversial Saudi Arabia-backed LIV tour beginning there the next day.

While interviewing Dick Morris, political consultant and author of the book The Return: Trump’s 2024 Comeback, Bachman hyped up Trump playing as proof of his credentials compared to his successor in the White House.

“You look at Joe Biden struggling so hard, you see Donald Trump on the first tee yesterday tee off and just hit a stripe right down the middle,” Bachman said.

“I’m always fascinated by the aspects of soft power in politics. And you know, Americans have to see this, Joe Biden struggling every day, he’s hanging out with a bunch of losers and Donald Trump is out playing golf looking more presidential than the current president.”

Bachman goes on to say that no one can imagine Joe Biden “doing anything athletic” like Trump playing a round of golf currently.

“These kinds of things you can’t really quantify, who do you want to have a beer with? Who would you rather hang out with? Who do you have more trust and who looks more powerful in a position and somehow, Donald Trump looks more powerful playing golf than Joe Biden does giving an address to the nation on the GDP,” Bachman said.

Bachman’ comments arrive after Trump was widely criticized for hosting the LIV Golf tournament at his course amid claims the Saudi government supported the 9/11 hijackers, allegations the Gulf nation denies.

On Thursday, Trump defended hosting the tournament while downplaying any links between Saudi Arabia and 9/11.

“Well, nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately, and they should have as to the maniacs that did that horrible thing to our city, to our country, to our world,” Trump said. “So nobody’s really been there.”

Trump made the claim despite frequently blaming Saudi Arabia for the attacks in the past.

“Who blew up the World Trade Center? It wasn’t the Iraqis, it was Saudi—take a look at Saudi Arabia, open the documents,” Trump told Fox News in 2016.

Trump also made similar remarks during a political rally in Bluffton, South Carolina.
