“I haven’t personally thought about it, I mean there’s some people talking about it in terms of polls—I’ve seen a bunch that has me pretty high up the list if not at the top of it. Who knows,” he said when asked by Fox News’ Paul Steinhauser at the event in Dallas, Texas.

“The reality with that job is you also have to want to do the day job, right. It’s not just about the campaigning. I love being in that fight. I love fighting for the things that are out there, that I believe in as a conservative. I will do that irrespective. To want to actually get in that mix, that’s a whole different story.”

On 2022, he also said he would be “very involved” in campaigning.

“I’m going to be very involved. The reality is, I’m the father of five young kids, I’m a patriotic American, I love this country and I look at what’s going on and someone has to push back,” he said.

“There’s not many people that have sort of the privilege of having a big platform. There’s not many people who have a big platform that are actually willing to use it to sort of go against the mainstream narrative. I think the facts are on my side, and it’s a battle we have to have. So I’m happy to do it, it’s an honor.”

Polling surrounding the next GOP presidential candidate has put Trump Jr. as one of the frontrunners should his father, former President Donald Trump, not run.

However, his father has regularly hinted at 2024 and said he has made a decision—though he has not outwardly said he will take another shot at the White House. Several polls have him as the favorite should he do so.

Trump Jr. gave a speech at CPAC on Friday, where he opened up by saying his father was right about “everything.”

After a member of the crowd shouted “we love you,” he said: “I love you too.

“No but in all seriousness thank you for that, it means the world to us. But I think it’s only because we actually fight. We’ll actually push back, right? That’s what Donald Trump did for the Republican Party. He showed that you don’t have to just turn the other cheek, roll over and die as the other side gets what they want and laughs their way to the bank,” he said.

He also took aim at a number of figures throughout his speech, including Dr. Anthony Fauci. President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden were also targeted, as he aimed broadsides at Democrats.
