Why would a footballer with a hefty paycheck want to moonlight as an Uber driver? Francis’ answer is very simple.
“It would be a cool way to get some extra cash,” Francis said, via the New York Daily News. “I’ve been using the app for two years, and every driver I talk to says it really helps supplement their income.”
Francis signed with Miami as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland in 2013. He suffered a knee injury last season that left him on the injured reserve list. He was recently re-signed and is slated to make $510,000 this season, according to Over The Cap.
