A fan faced such a conundrum Tuesday in the bottom of the eighth inning of the Athletics-Twins game in Oakland. In pursuit of a Coco Crisp foul ball, the fan chose ball over beer. And oh did he pay for his decision — we’ll call him fan No. 1.
Fan No. 2, also in pursuit of the foul ball, did not hesitate to exert immediate payback after fan No. 1 snagged the gloved fan’s missed opportunity. Gone was fan No. 1’s beer. Sorry fan No. 2 was not.
