The Unknown Flavor tasks players with tracking down rare ingredients needed to make one of Remy’s favorite desserts, Ice Cream. But getting all of those ingredients together isn’t easy, especially if you don’t know exactly what steps to take. In this article, you’ll learn how to find and acquire all the ingredients needed to make Ice Cream and complete Remy’s final quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
First, you’ll need to talk to Remy to learn about the quest in the first place. From there, head over and chat with Merlin to learn more about the recipe that you need to make Ice Cream. He’ll tell you about a recipe note in his library, so head over and grab it from the bookshelf in the back to learn more.
Now that you have the recipe for Ice Cream, you’ll need to acquire 3 Purified Night Shards to make this recipe. You need 5 Night Shards and 1 Dream Shard each to complete this part of the quest. Once you’ve made 3 Purified Night Shards, head over and speak to WALL-E. He’ll turn your Purified Night Shards into Purified Night Shard Powder, and then you can head back to a crafting station to make Ice Slush using the power and 15 Snowballs.
From here, it’s time to take the Ice Slush to Remy. At this point, Slush Ice will become a permanent ingredient you can purchase from Chez Remy. He’ll also give you the final recipe for Vanilla Ice Cream, which you can use to unlock the actual Ice Cream recipe itself. Now, all you need to do is combine Slush Ice, Milk, Sugarcane, and Vanilla to make the Ice Cream for Remy and complete the quest.
