During a press conference following the Mavericks’ playoff opener on Saturday, Nowitzki kinda lost his cool. It wasn’t because his team lost by 10 points to the Rockets, however; it’s because he didn’t think his microphone was working.

The Mavericks star tapped his microphone a couple of times (once quite violently) to check if it was picking up his sound waves. Then, thinking that nobody could hear him, he did what he had to do: throw the microphone in frustration.
The thing is, his microphone was working the entire time — Nowitzki just didn’t know it. He couldn’t help but crack a smile when he found out.
