Nowitzki will be in attendance Friday when Nash is inducted into the Suns’ Ring of Honor. The Mavericks star plans to fly to Phoenix after starting the season with back-to-back road games against the Suns on Wednesday and the Clippers on Thursday.

Nash and Nowitzki played together for the Mavs from 1999 to 2004.
