Fast forward to today’s Raiders game against the Jets, and there may have been a callback to that play. As you should know, Marshawn Lynch is now with Oakland, and he was in the backfield for the Raiders on a goal-line situation.

So what does Oakland do, run it with Beast Mode like Seattle should have done? Nope. They actually went the Seahawks route, and Derek Carr was heard audibiling the play by yelling out “Seattle.”
So was this intentional? Calling a “Seattle” audible with Lynch in the backfield on the goal line, switching to a pass play? It’s hard to know for sure, but if it is the case, then this was an excellent call.
And as you see in the clip, passing instead of running worked out well as it resulted in a touchdown for Oakland.
