Booker, the son of former Missouri star Melvin Booker, will be choosing between his father’s alma mater, Kentucky, Michigan and Michigan State.
The 6-6 Booker joins two other high-profile recruits in making their decisions Thursday—Mishawaka, Ind. shooting guard James Blackmon Jr. (No. 34) and Milwaukee power forward Kevon Looney (ranked No. 10 overall by Sporting News).
Booker is believed to be leaning toward Kentucky, where his friend, point guard Tyler Ulis, has already committed. But Booker also has ties to the state of Michigan, where his mother lives, which brings the Wolverines and Spartans very much into play, too.
Meanwhile, seven other players in Sporting News' 2014 player recruiting rankings have yet to commit, including Jahlil Okafor, Tyus Jones, Myles Turner, Cliff Alexander, Stanley Johnson, Trey Lyles and Justise Winslow.
