According to ESPN, Marvin Jones will be signing with Detroit. The 6-2, 195-pound receiver is coming off his best season with 65 catches, 816 yards and four touchdowns. He played four years with the Bengals after being drafted in the fifth round out of Cal.

Jones is considered the top available free agent receiver but will likely sign for considerably less than what Detroit would have owed Johnson in 2016, which would have been $11 million.

“You can’t go in there trying to be Calvin Johnson,” Jones told the Detroit Free Press at Super Bowl 50. “You have to be who you are and what’s gotten you in this league and successful in the league. That’s what I say.”
