Sir Kim Darroch has come under fire after some of his communications with London were leaked, detailing his concern over the state of Trump’s administration. Darroch, who had been due to step down at the end of this year, branded the Trump White House “insecure,” “clumsy” and “inept,” among other things. The president does not deal well with personal attacks, and—somewhat proving the ambassador’s point—responded to the leak by declaring he would no longer work with Darroch, who he described as “not liked or well thought of” in Washington....

The latest survey by Change Research and CNBC revealed that 47 percent of likely voters in Arizona, Florida, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin would back the commander-in-chief if an election were held the same day. By comparison, 45 percent told pollsters they would opt for former Vice President Biden. A further 4 percent said they would back a third-party candidate while 3 percent were unsure who they would back in November....
